Volume discount tiers
Trade pricing applies from your first qualifying order. Tiers are cumulative across a rolling 12-month window — once you pass a threshold, the discount stays locked in.

Who qualifies for Toolsmith trade pricing?
Any UK institution, practice, studio, workshop or school ordering precision tools regularly. Jewellery colleges, dental practices, veterinary clinics, farriers, watchmaking schools, surgical training programmes, beauty and nail academies, and craft institutions all qualify. Trade rates apply from Tier 1 (£250 annual volume) onwards.
How long does trade account approval take?
Usually same working day if you email info@toolsmithltd.co.uk during UK working hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm). We'll confirm approval and send a trade account code by reply.
Do you offer NET 30 payment terms?
Yes - NET 30 is available on invoiced orders from Tier 2 (£1,000+ annual volume) upward, subject to credit reference. For smaller trade orders we offer proforma invoicing with bank transfer payment.
Is there a minimum order quantity for trade pricing?
No minimum per order. Tiers are based on cumulative 12-month volume rather than per-order size, so you build up to a discount tier organically.
Can I combine trade discount with promotional codes?
No - trade discount is applied instead of promotional codes, not alongside them. If a code would give a larger discount than your tier, contact us and we'll honour the larger of the two.
Can we purchase gift cards for staff recognition, student prizes, or course tutors?
Yes — Toolsmith gift cards are available in 5 denominations (£10-£250). Delivered by email, never expire, usable on any product. Popular with institutions for staff awards, long-service gifts, student prize-giving and course-tutor thank-yous. Trade-tier discount does not stack with gift cards (gift cards are sold at face value).
Do you invoice directly for institutional procurement?
Yes - we issue standard VAT invoices with PO numbers, institutional purchase order references, and school/college procurement-system compatible formats. Email info@toolsmithltd.co.uk for account setup.
