Returns and faulty items

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in original packaging. You pay return postage unless the item is faulty, damaged or wrong, and sealed sterile instrument sets can't be returned once the seal has been broken after delivery, for hygiene reasons. You also have a statutory 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Contact us at info@toolsmithltd.co.uk to start a return, and see our returns policy.

I received a faulty item — what do I do?

Please tell us within 14 days of delivery: contact us at info@toolsmithltd.co.uk with your order number and a photo and we will arrange a replacement or full refund. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.

Do your tools come with a warranty?

We don't offer a separate warranty. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected: goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

Delivery and tracking

How long does delivery take?

We aim to dispatch orders placed before 2pm UK time, Monday to Friday, the same working day, and most UK orders arrive within 2–3 working days of dispatch. Express delivery (£6.99) is available at checkout. International orders vary by destination.

Do you offer free delivery?

Yes — free delivery on all UK orders. International shipping to over 100 countries is also available.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — we ship to over 100 countries, including the US, Canada, Europe and Australia, and international orders are delivered duties-paid (DDP): all import duties and taxes are included at checkout, so there are no surprise fees on delivery. Bladed items (knives, axes and razors) are UK-delivery only.

How do I track my order?

You will receive a tracking number by email once your order is dispatched.

Are your tools suitable for professionals?

Our range is made for trade and professional work by jewellers, watchmakers, dental technicians, vets, farriers, beauty professionals and craft makers, and we ship to over 100 countries.

Do you sell knives or razor blades to under-18s?

No. UK law (Criminal Justice Act 1988, s.141A) prohibits selling bladed items to anyone under 18. Age verification is required at checkout and our couriers may require photo ID on delivery.
