Returns Policy
We want you happy with every order. If something isn't right, here's how we'll put it right — fast, and with no arguments.
30-day returns window
You have 30 days from the day your order arrives to return it for a full refund. Items must be unused and in original packaging.
How to return
- Email info@toolsmithltd.co.uk with your order number.
- We reply within one working day with return instructions and the return address.
- Post the item back (you pay return postage unless the item was faulty or wrong).
- We inspect and refund within 5–10 working days of receipt.
Damaged, faulty, or wrong item
If the item arrived damaged, faulty, or different from what you ordered, tell us within 7 days with a photo. We'll arrange a replacement or full refund including your return postage — no cost to you.
Items we can't accept back
- Items used, modified, or damaged after delivery
- Sterilised or pre-opened instrument sets (hygiene reasons)
- Items returned after the 30-day window
- Gift cards
Refund method
Refunds go back to the original payment method (card, PayPal, etc). Most arrive within 3–5 working days after we've processed the refund, depending on your bank.
Exchanges
We don't run formal exchanges — just return the unwanted item for a refund, and place a new order for the replacement. Same working day if you need it urgently; email us and we'll hold stock for you.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. UK consumers have the legal right to a full refund for items found to be of unsatisfactory quality, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
