Delete your account
You can ask us to delete your Toolsmith customer account, and the personal data linked to it, at any time. This applies to accounts used on toolsmithltd.co.uk and in the Toolsmith app.
How to request deletion
- In the Toolsmith app: go to Account, sign in, and tap Delete your account. Confirm, and the app sends your request to us straight away.
- By email: write to info@toolsmithltd.co.uk with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address on your account.
- By phone: call 0121 314 7550 and we will take your request.
To protect your account, we only act on a request that comes from the email address on the account, or that you confirm from that address when we reply.
What we delete
- Your customer account: name, email address, phone number and saved addresses.
- Your marketing and alert records with our email provider (Klaviyo): email subscriptions, restock alerts, app notification tokens and app activity linked to you.
Signing out of the app removes your sign-in details from your device. Your app wishlist is stored only on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
What we have to keep
We keep records of orders you have placed (invoices, payments and refunds) for as long as UK tax and company law requires, normally six years. These records are used only for those legal purposes.
How long it takes
We confirm when your request is complete, within one month of receiving it.
