For best results and to prolong the life of the cutting edges, use a suitable cutting lubricant and work with annealed metal. The tool is designed for use with a mallet or hammer on a solid, stable surface like a bench block. Note: The tool is supplied with a light oil coating; minor surface discolouration from storage is possible and does not affect performance.
