This disc cutter set produces clean, repeatable maple leaf shapes from sheet metal. The set includes a solid 64 x 89 mm die block and three corresponding punches, all machined from hardened and tempered tool steel for durability and edge retention.

To operate, place your annealed non-ferrous metal sheet (up to 18 gauge or 1.02 mm) into the die. Select your punch—24.71 mm, 21.61 mm, or 18.25 mm tall—and insert it into the matching slot. A firm strike with a brass hammer will shear a precise blank. We recommend using a cutting lubricant to ensure a clean cut and extend the tool's life.

Ideal for creating consistent components for jewellery such as pendants and earrings, or for adding detailed metalwork to models and craft projects.

  • Cuts three distinct maple leaf blanks from non-ferrous sheet metal up to 18 gauge.
  • Block and punches are machined from hardened and tempered high-carbon tool steel.
  • Includes three punch sizes: 24.7mm, 21.6mm, and 18.3mm (approximate height).
  • The solid steel die block measures approximately 64 x 89 mm (2.5 x 3.5 inches).
  • Use with a brass hammer and cutting fluid to prolong the life of the cutting edges.

Is this the right tool for you?

Best for

  • UK jewellers producing series of maple leaf pendants or earrings
  • Silversmiths needing consistent decorative elements for larger pieces
  • Model engineers creating custom brass or copper insignia and details
  • Crafters working with non-ferrous metal sheet for bespoke designs

Not for

  • Cutting hardened steel or metals thicker than 18 gauge (1.02 mm)
  • Use with a steel hammer, which can damage the punch heads
  • Freehand stamping; this is a die-and-punch shearing tool
  • Cutting multiple sheets at once
