Straight Dental Luxation Elevator with 5 mm Tip and Yellow Handle
The Straight Luxation Elevator is a specialised dental instrument designed to cut the periodontal ligament, facilitating tooth extraction with minimal trauma to the surrounding alveolar bone. Its fine, sharp, 5 mm straight blade is inserted into the periodontal space to sever the ligament fibres, allowing the tooth to be gently displaced from its socket.
Constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel, this instrument is built for durability and can be repeatedly sterilised without degradation. It is compatible with standard sterilisation methods including autoclave, chemiclave, and dry heat up to 180°C. The ergonomic, yellow-coloured composite handle provides a secure grip and allows for quick identification amongst other instruments.
Primary use cases include:
- Atraumatic tooth extractions in dental and veterinary surgery.
- Severing the periodontal ligament prior to forceps application.
- Preserving bone structure for future implant placement.
