This disc cutter set produces three sizes of elongated stripe-shaped blanks from soft metal sheet. The set includes a solid steel die block and three corresponding punches, each machined from hardened carbon tool steel for durable, clean cutting.

To operate, place your sheet metal (up to 18 gauge or 1.02 mm) into the die slot. Insert the desired punch and strike it firmly with a suitable mallet to eject the blank. The three included punch sizes are 9.51 x 57.56 mm, 9.51 x 54.36 mm, and 9.51 x 51.16 mm. Using a cutting lubricant will prolong the life of the cutting edges.

This tool is ideal for creating custom components for jewellery, fabricating decorative elements for models, or producing unique metal tags and inlays.

  • Die and punches are machined from hardened high-carbon tool steel.
  • Cuts clean stripe-shaped blanks from non-ferrous sheet up to 18 gauge (1.02 mm).
  • Includes three punch sizes: 9.51x57.56, 9.51x54.36, and 9.51x51.16 mm.
  • Punches are bevelled for hammer striking; use with a nylon mallet and cutting fluid.
  • Solid steel die block weighs 2.0 kg, providing a stable base for accurate cuts.

Is this the right tool for you?

Best for

  • UK jewellers creating custom stripe-shaped findings from silver or copper sheet
  • Model engineers fabricating small, repeatable decorative metal components
  • Silversmiths needing to produce consistent blanks for further forming or texturing
  • Crafters working with non-ferrous metals to make tags, charms, and inlays

Not for

  • Cutting hardened steel or sheet thicker than 18 gauge (1.02 mm)
  • Use with a steel hammer, which can damage the bevelled punch ends
  • Producing shapes other than the three included stripe sizes
