Green-Handled Straight Luxation Elevator for Atraumatic Extraction, 2 mm Tip
This straight luxation elevator features a fine, 2 mm tapered blade designed to function as a periodontal ligament knife. It allows the operator to precisely and gently sever the ligament, compressing the alveolar bone and easing the tooth from its socket with minimal force.
Unlike traditional elevators that rely on leverage, this instrument is designed for cutting. This technique minimises trauma to the surrounding bone and tissue, which is critical for preserving the socket for future implant procedures. The surgical stainless steel construction ensures it can be fully sterilised for clinical use.
Ideal for:
- Severing the periodontal ligament prior to forceps extraction.
- Gently luxating a tooth from its socket with minimal bone damage.
- Use in veterinary dentistry for similar small animal extractions.
