Surgical Luxating Elevator with 5 mm Down-Angled Tapered Blade
This luxating elevator is designed for atraumatic extractions by severing the periodontal ligament. The fine, 5 mm tapered blade is inserted into the periodontal space, compressing the alveolar bone and cutting the membrane with minimal force.
Constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel, the instrument is durable and fully steriliseable via autoclave, chemiclave, or dry heat up to 180°C. The down-angled blade geometry is optimised for accessing and easing teeth from their sockets while preserving the surrounding bone structure.
Primarily used in dental and veterinary procedures, this tool also finds applications in fine-scale model making, electronics repair, and palaeontology for delicate fossil preparation where precise separation of materials is required.

Is this the right tool for you?
Best for
- Dental professionals performing atraumatic tooth extractions.
- Veterinary surgeons requiring fine extraction tools for small animals.
- Palaeontologists for delicate fossil matrix separation.
- Model engineers needing to precisely separate bonded components.
Not for
- Use as a traditional elevator for prying or leverage; the blade is fine.
- Cutting hard materials like metal wire or pins.
- Sterilisation above 180°C, which may affect material integrity.
