Damascus Steel Blank, 25mm Square, 4mm Thick, Forged from 1095 & 15N20 Steel
A workable billet of genuine pattern-welded Damascus steel, forged from alternating layers of 1095 and 15N20 steel. This combination of high-carbon and nickel-alloy steels creates the distinctive light and dark patterns when etched.
Each 25mm square blank is supplied in an annealed, pre-etched state, making it ready for immediate shaping, drilling, or grinding. After working the piece to your desired form, it will require a final heat treatment (hardening and tempering) and a re-etching to fully reveal the pattern's depth and contrast.
Use this billet to craft bespoke items such as ring cores, cuff-links, small knife bolsters, guards, or decorative inlays for wood and metalwork projects.

Carrying in public. Under section 139 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (with equivalents in Scotland and Northern Ireland), it is an offence to have any bladed or sharply pointed article in a public place without good reason or lawful authority. Carry your purchase only when transporting it directly to and from a workplace, workshop, fieldcraft course, hunting estate, or other lawful use.
Use. This is a sharp working tool, not a weapon. Cut away from the body, keep fingers behind the edge, sheathe before storing, and keep out of reach of children.
Care. Wipe dry after every use and apply a thin film of mineral or camellia oil to prevent rust — high-carbon and Damascus steels will spot or patina if left damp.
