Damascus Steel Cleaver with 165mm Blade, Horn Handle and Leather Sheath

This heavy-duty cleaver features a hand-forged Damascus steel blade with a distinctive 'Fire Blade' pattern. The blade is constructed from 512 layers of 1075 high-carbon and 4340 stainless steel, providing a balance of hardness and toughness. The full-tang construction ensures durability and control during heavy chopping tasks.

The handle is crafted from polished horn, shaped for a secure grip and affixed to the tang with brass and mosaic pins. Its 127mm (5") length and substantial weight contribute to the tool's excellent balance, allowing for precise, powerful cuts. A custom-fit leather sheath is included to protect the blade edge when not in use.

Primarily designed for butchery and culinary work, this cleaver is also suited for heavy cutting tasks in the workshop, such as processing leather, rubber, or other resilient materials.

Care. Wipe dry after every use and apply a thin film of mineral or camellia oil to prevent rust — high-carbon and Damascus steels will spot or patina if left damp.
