Damascus Steel Hatchet, 229 mm, with Bull Horn and Bone Handle and Leather Sheath
This compact hatchet features a hand-forged Damascus steel head. The steel is folded five times to create over 246 distinct layers, resulting in a durable and sharp cutting edge with a unique pattern on every tool.
The handle is constructed from a combination of bull horn and bone, providing a solid grip and a traditional aesthetic. It is finished with decorative mosaic pins and includes a lanyard hole for added security. The tool is supplied with a stitched leather sheath to protect the blade (leather colour may vary).

Before you order
Age 18+ only. By placing this order you confirm you are 18 or over. The courier will request photo ID at delivery and return the parcel if no eligible adult is available.
Carrying in public. Under section 139 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (with equivalents in Scotland and Northern Ireland), it is an offence to have any bladed or sharply pointed article in a public place without good reason or lawful authority. Carry your purchase only when transporting it directly to and from a workplace, workshop, fieldcraft course, hunting estate, or other lawful use.
Use. This is a sharp working tool, not a weapon. Cut away from the body, keep fingers behind the edge, sheathe before storing, and keep out of reach of children.
Care. Wipe dry after every use and apply a thin film of mineral or camellia oil to prevent rust — high-carbon and Damascus steels will spot or patina if left damp.
Shipping. UK addresses only. Signature and photo ID required at delivery. We cannot ship to PO Boxes, parcel lockers, or addresses outside the UK.
Liability. Toolsmith Ltd accepts no responsibility for injury, damage, or legal consequences arising from the misuse, unlawful possession, or unlawful use of any tool sold on this site. The buyer is solely responsible for lawful and safe use. Full terms in our knives & axes guide.
