The standard target
We aim to dispatch orders placed before 2pm UK time, Monday to Friday, the same working day. Orders placed after 2pm, at weekends or on UK public holidays are dispatched from the next working day. Same-day dispatch is a target, not a guarantee: orders sent from Amazon’s UK fulfilment centres, and orders at busy times, can take longer.
What "dispatched" actually means
Dispatched means:
- Your order is picked from UK stock — packed by us, or, for some items, by Amazon's UK fulfilment centres, which fulfil those orders for us.
- It's packed and weighed.
- A tracked shipping label is generated.
- The parcel is scanned into the carrier's network before the daily collection.
- You get a dispatch confirmation email with the tracking number.
Once it's scanned in, the parcel is in the carrier's hands.
What delivery speed to expect after dispatch
Most UK orders arrive within 2–3 working days of dispatch. Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland may take an extra 1–2 working days. UK delivery is free on every order with no minimum spend, and Express delivery (£6.99) is available at checkout. The courier used depends on your location and order size; the full details are in our shipping policy.
So an order placed at 1pm on a Tuesday should be dispatched that Tuesday, and most UK orders then arrive by the Thursday or Friday. An order placed at 3pm on a Tuesday should be dispatched on the Wednesday.
The edge cases
Weekend orders
An order placed at 3pm on a Friday, or at any time on a Saturday or Sunday, should be dispatched on the Monday. The countdown on product pages shows the cut-off live.
Bank holidays
Orders placed on a UK bank holiday go out from the next working day.
Out-of-stock items
If something's out of stock, you won't be able to add it to cart — we don't take orders we can't fulfil. Stock status is live on the product page.
Mixed orders where one item is delayed
If an order contains an item we unexpectedly can't dispatch same day, we contact you with options: wait for the full order, split-ship the in-stock items now, or cancel and refund.
International orders
International orders follow the same dispatch target, but transit times depend on the destination; our shipping policy lists estimated delivery times by region. International orders are sent DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): shipping, import duties and taxes are calculated at checkout.
How we aim to hit it
Two reasons, both boring:
- UK stock. Every order ships from UK stock, either packed by us or through Amazon's UK fulfilment centres, which fulfil some orders for us. Nothing is sent to you from overseas.
- A 2pm cut-off. It leaves time to pick and pack the day's orders before collection, without cutting corners on packing.
What we don't do
We don't dispatch at weekends or on UK public holidays, and we don't offer Saturday delivery, pre-12 or same-day courier services.
