The pin is constructed from individual brass and copper elements arranged in a geometric pattern and set in a clear resin. After being epoxied into a pre-drilled hole, the pin can be cut, sanded, and polished flush with the surrounding handle material to reveal the intricate cross-section.

Care. Wipe dry after every use and apply a thin film of mineral or camellia oil to prevent rust — high-carbon and Damascus steels will spot or patina if left damp.
