Surgical Luxation Elevator with 1 mm Straight Blade and Colour-Coded Handle
This surgical luxation elevator is a specialised dental instrument designed for atraumatic tooth extractions. Unlike traditional elevators that rely on leverage, this tool functions as a periodontal ligament knife. Its fine, sharp blade is engineered to precisely sever the ligament connecting the tooth to the bone.
The thin, tapering 1 mm straight blade slides into the periodontal space, compressing the alveolar bone and cleanly cutting the membrane. This action allows the tooth to be gently eased from its socket, significantly reducing trauma to the surrounding bone and tissue. The result is a cleaner extraction that can aid in faster healing and better preservation of the socket for future procedures.
Primarily used by dentists, orthodontists, and oral surgeons for atraumatic extractions. It is also suitable for veterinary dentistry or for delicate disassembly tasks in model engineering and electronics repair where precise cutting in a confined space is required.
